Back in February we heard about the impending release of Lego: Pirates of the Caribbean and reported on the Nintendo 3DS version complete with hilarious teaser trailer, today we have received fresh updates and some sneak pre-views of the game via screenshots and box graphics.

The images showcase two levels from the game, Pelegosto and Dutchman Key, which both allow players to re-enact memorable scenes from the hit film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. In fact it looks as if the game will include moments from all three films and even ones from the upcoming movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Much like the other games in the Lego virtual line up players will be able to take control of an array of characters from the films with over 70 to choose from as the game progresses. Other similarities will include the building of items from Lego bricks and the ability to destroy scenery to collect Lego bricks. Another familiar theme will be the cut scenes which should prove a few small belly laughs or two.

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean will be released in the UK on 13th May 2011, do you think it will be a hit?
