New Harry Potter Lego Game in Time for Xmas

If you love Harry Potter, Lego and games then your luck is in.

Following on from Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 game we will soon have the chance to play the unsurprisingly titled Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 version. It will be released on the following formats; PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, NGP, PC and Nintendo 3DS.

This latest instalment of the boy wizard’s adventures covers the final three books of the astonishingly successful series. It is not exactly linked to the upcoming film called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. However, it will have a lot in common with this final movie.

While the film comes out in July, we will need to wait until the end of the year for the new game. Do we smell an early bit of Christmas marketing fever already?

Tom Stone said that the new Years 5-7 game will give us a “truly epic conclusion” to the franchise. And he should know, as he is the managing director of TT Games. In his statement he promises “even more magical abilities, puzzle solving and exploration”. He even tells us to expect “hilarious Lego humour and charm”.

The game will see scenes take place in the likes of the Ministry of Magic, Godric’s Hollow and Grimmauld Place.

The same firm recently brought us the Lego Pirates of the Caribbean game and we wonder what other block based franchises will be with us soon.

What film would you like to see made into a Lego game?

Lord of the Rings. Because, it is a New Line Cinema production that is partly to do with Warner Brothers. I'm very certain TT Games will want to get this one out before their contract with Lego ends in 2016.
