One of the biggest problems of using Microsoft’s Kinext for Xbox 360 is it requires players to use a lot of space in front of the TV to function properly. Though some people don’t seem to have a problem with space, others who live in dorm rooms and small apartments do. Hardware developer Nyko came up with a Kinect add-on that lets you play Kinect games without having to use most of your living room space.

Nyko Zoom for Kinect enables you to use 40 percent less space thanks to its extra camera zoom. The Zoom does not use batteries and it does not require you to plug it into an outlet to run. It allows up to two players to play within the given space that is only playable for a single player. It uses a series of wide-angle zoom lenses to minimize the required space needed for you to play your games.

Chris Arbogast, Nyko Technologies’ Director of Marketing, said in the product’s press release: “The success of the Zoom at E3 was outstanding and we are incredibly excited to help expand the already thriving fanbase of Kinect gamers, allowing even more people to enjoy the thrills of being the controller.”

Nyko technologies announced that the US launch date of the Zoom peripheral for Microsoft Kinect is on August 30. It will be sold at $30 (around £20), which is cheaper than expected.
