Last week Otterbox unveiled a brand new case for the iPad 2, the Defender series has been extended this week to include a brand new heavy duty case for the Blackberry Playbook.
Like the other Defender cases this one comes complete with several layers of protection including a polycarbonate shell that fits snuggly around the Playbook, a silicone skin keeps out dirt, moisture and also keeps scratches and finger prints at bay. Unlike may other cases the Defender also comes with a robust screen protector which like the silicone skin stops the screen collecting excess finger prints and scratches.
Otterbox have become very proficient in their trade, all of their cases aim to protect without compromising on function. This one is no different and offers full access to all ports and of course the touch screen. The only downside to having such a robust case is that it does add a little bulk, both in depth and weight.
“The BlackBerry PlayBook takes multitasking to the next level and the OtterBox allows that to happen virtually anywhere,” said OtterBox founder and CEO, Curt Richardson.
