You’ve probably heard of Google Doodle’s, you’ve probably heard of Doodle Jump but we doubt very much that you’ve ever heard of the Doodle speaker. The Doodle speaker allows the customer to place their own design on the front, which goes some way to describe its name.
Basically you can upload any image to the orig audio website and they will print the image and place it on a speaker, the video below gives an overview of how the whole process works. They say it takes around three to five days to process and deliver the order, as far as we see it it’s a lot like those personalised cases you can get for smartphones but they’ve decided to do it with a speaker.
The Doodle speaker looks about the same size as an iPhone and will slip easily into your bag or even pocket and is powered by 2 AAA batteries or via the included USB power cable which means you can power it via your laptop.
The design team says that they can be bought individually or even be supplied in bulk to companies or brands, a great PR product in the making. User can even make money from their design if they agree for their art work to be used on other people’s speakers, if one sells then a commission is paid back to the original designer – neat!
They are available to buy £29.95 or with 20% off with the voucher code ‘DOODLE20’. We’ll get hold of one and give it a thorough review soon.
