It was reported that game developer Infinity Ward has flown in a team of testers to find exploits in Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer maps. The mapMonkeys, a groupof gamers who discover glitches, hacks and broken codes that lend other gamers an advantage, have been called by the company to test its new first person shooter game. They joined Infinity Ward’s own team of testers to make sure Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer scene is as competitive and fair as possible.

“They’re a great addition to an already rigorous QA process that the internal team here at Infinity Ward – Sledgehammer and additionally at Activision have been doing since development began,” said Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward’s creative strategist. “While we’ve been hammering away testing on it since it’s been up and running, these guys focus specifically on exploits that can potentially be used to an unfair advantage, such as getting outside a map’s playable area, inside geo, or find weapon or equipment exploits that were not intended by the designer so that we can catch and address these before it gets out to the public.”

The four mapMonkeys members who were invited to see the game expressed their excitement on the forums section of the mapMonkeys website. The team will have the privilege of playing the most-awaited Modern Warfare 3 months before it is launched.

“We’ve been flown out to test other games in the past (such as Call of Duty: World at War and Modern Warfare 2), but we only had two or three days to test the game and find glitches, which wasn’t nearly enough time. This time, Infinity Ward is keeping us there an entire week so we can find more bugs and glitches than ever before!” wrote Rezzzo, a member of the mapMonkeys.

So, it sounds like the Mapmonkey team approves, what would you like to see from MW3?
