Samsung Galaxy S II (2) UK Pre Order Price Revealed

Yesterday Play.com listed the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II for pre-order, it cost a princely £649.99 and today it seems the brand has already began to drop the price as today it will only set you back £599.99.

The listing shows the Android Gingerbread touting Galaxy S 2 will have be released on 31st March, whether this is subject to change remains to be seen. The Galaxy S II will come with NFC allowing users to pay for cheaper items and services with a swipe of their phone rather than using their credit card – well they will when retailers in the UK start supporting it.

Other specs include a 4.27 inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display, Dual core processor, Twin Cameras with the rear offering 8 Mega Pixels and all the bells and whistles that comes with Android Gingerbread. It’s safe to say this phone will get a lot of interest.

Those of you who are looking forward to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II now finally have an idea of what it might cost. Interestingly Expansys also have listed the phone at the same price as Play, whether a price war will commence remains to be seen.

Do you think £599.99 is on the button or a bit much?

  • Just checked the Play website. Current cost is now £539.99. At this rate if you wait a week or two, they'll be paying you to buy one!
