Samsung’s President of Mobile Communications, JK Shin, has let the cat out of the bag regarding the firms upcoming developments. He was talking with Dow Jones newswire when he revealed the Samsung Galaxy S III would be out in 2012, more interestingly a 4G tablet will make an appearance in 2011.

The new tab will be a enhanced version on the Galaxy Tab, at this stage we are not sure if this means the Galaxy Tab 10.1 could be 4G enabled or that Samsung will launch another brand new 4G device. Presumably the 4G tab would cater for the US Market because the technology won’t be coming to the UK for some time yet. This could possibly mean the tab is verizon bound.

Mr.Shin also revealed the Galaxy S III would be released in the first half of 2012, possibly being unveiled at MWC next February. He explained that new devices had to evolve to cope with growing amounts of data.

This news comes after Samsung’s recent legal battles with Apple, last week Apple won the right to look at the majority of Samsung’s products to check for patent infringement. Not to be outdone, Samsung has now requested to see the Apple iPhone 5 and iPad 3. As always we will keep you posted of all new developments.

Do you think the next generation of tablets should be 4G ready?
