Share Your Juice Thanks to Samsung

A new gadget from Samsung might be just what you need to help you keep your keep your mobile topped up with juice. It might even let you help out your friends when their batteries run low too.

It is called the Power Sharing cable and it is a sort of battery sharing device that lets you use the power from one phone or tablet to charge up another. It is a double ended cable which ends with micro-USB connectors. What this means is that it can be used with any device that accept micro-USB cables.

The latest Samsung devices which can be used with this new cable include the likes of the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy Tab 5 and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

The official word from the Korean manufacturer is that the Power Sharing cable can be used to give gadget owners a “versatile way to charge their devices”. It lets people share the power from their Galaxy battery with other devices no matter where they are.

The first step to using this cable is to download the Samsung Power Sharing app. This can be done by going to the Google Play store or from Samsung Apps. After doing that, you get to choose how much juice you want to give to the second device before plugging both in.

The new Samsung gadget for sharing the power between different devices is also said to be small enough to fit into the user’s pocket. It costs £15 and comes in black or white, although the manufacturer says that they are nearly out or stock already.
