There are only a few phones in the market that offer a slide-out keyboard and a touchscreen, especially in the mid-range phone market. Almost a year ago, Sony Ericsson released the X10 Mini Pro, a smartphone that has a slide-out keyboard and a touchscreen, and now, they are releasing its successor, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro.
The Xperia Mini Pro retains the compact factor of its predecessor but gets a number of much-needed upgrades. It now has a 3-inch display that runs on Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine. Thanks to its increased resolution to 320 x 480 pixels, the display is now sharper.
It is an Android-powered smartphone that was designed for easy messaging. The phone’s slide-out keyboard makes typing simple and easier, and with the Smart Keyboard function, it predicts the words you want to type before you type it, so there will be a fewer mistakes. The Xperia Mini Pro’s Type and Send feature lets you handle all your messages in one place, your home screen.
The Sony Ericsson is now available at Vodafone, free on £25, 24 month price plans. It will include 500 minutes of talk time, 250 text messages and 500 MB of mobile data.
The smartphone’s Facebook inside Xperia program is also included so you won’t miss another social event again. You only need to sign in to Facebook once during the mobile phone’s startup to receive event updates in your calendar. You can also comment directly on your friends’ photos as they pop up in the phone’s gallery.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro gives access to the available apps in the Android Market. With this, you can download apps and customize your phone to make it exclusively yours.
