The ‘Ostrich’ Pocket Pillow: Bury Your head or sleep at work

Ever feel like having a snooze or simply want to bury your head in the sand when you are work, well it seems Kawamura Genevan has had the same idea. The innovative designer has created ‘the ostrich’ a snuggly device that office workers can slip over their head to take a well deserved break.

The soft fabric forms a bulbous shape with three openings, the largest for the persons head and two smaller openings to place your hands. As you may be aware ostriches stick their heads into the sand when hiding from danger, we highly recommend not using the ostrich snoozing device for this purpose though.

The official blurb from Kawamura states “OSTRICH offers a micro environment in which to take a warm and comfortable power nap at ease. It is neither a pillow nor a cushion, nor a bed, nor a garment, but a bit of each at the same time. Its soothing cave-like interior shelters and isolates our head and hands (mind, senses and body) for a few minutes, without needing to leave our desk.” Sounds great to me but I’m not sure how much blogging I’d get done if I owed one.

Do you think the Ostrich pocket pillow is a good idea for the office?
