Yesterday, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed poster has been leaked by an employee from Best Buy, showing that the new game will be set during the American Revolution.
Ever since Assassin’s Creed 2 was released, gamers have been speculating about where the third installment of the game will take place. Some said that it can be during the Russian Revolution or another game about the game’s main character, Ezio Auditore. Now, a Best Buy employee has leaked a poster showing the new game’s main character with an American flag at the back.
Earlier today, Ubisoft on its Facebook page has unveiled the box art for its third Assassin’s Creed chapter, confirming that it will take place in the American Revolution.
From what we’re seeing, the weaponry that the new assassin has will have a Native American connection, which includes a tomahawk, bow and arrows, flintlock pistol and a sword. Some reports say that since Desmond is European, the new main character will not have a 100 percent Native American bloodline, with some saying that he may be at least part European.
But what about the person who’s going to help the protagonist? At the back cover of the box, a rather blurry image of General George Washington is drawn, which pretty much confirms the person on the banner that was mistakenly displayed at the GameInformer website.
Ubisoft has promised that they will announce all the details for the Assassin’s Creed III on Monday, March 5. The game is expected to be launched on October 30.
