There are a few people that say the new BMW Mini isn’t a true Mini, Why? Well some say it’s too big to be a true mini, the same can’t be said about this new concept car though which was introduced in Milan today. BMW are calling it the Mini Rocketman and it stunned the 300 guests that attended its unveiling.
The brand new concept car was revealed by Adrian Van Hooydonk and Anders Warming and it has got more than a few tongues wagging as to whether BMW will actually put it into production. The concept is aimed at young, urban drivers who know the Mini but want something a little different.
BMW says that the Rocketman is a ‘vision of tomorrow’s mobility’ with its 3+1 seating layout utilising futuristic materials and cutting edge styling. Some interesting features include the expanding doors, fibre optic and led lighting and of course the length of the car which is only slightly longer than the iconic 1959 car.
The General public and wider community will be able to get their first glimpse of the Rocketman at the Geneva international motor show next month. So what do you think, is this a ‘real’ Mini?
