The Samsung Nexus Prime, the first Android smartphone that sports Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, has been reported to head to all carriers.

The next Google phone has been spotted by people from The Droid Guy at the Verizon Developer conference in Las Vegas. They stumbled upon a man, identifying himself to be a Samsung employee, who was playing with an Android handset that they have never seen before. They talked to him and convinced the man to show them the mysterious mobile phone.

According to the site, the handset resembles the Nexus S, except that it was a little thicker and taller. The phone packed a 2-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera. It also features a single home button at the bottom, which is a similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note, and has a power button an the volume buttons on the sides.

The phone also has an MHL, NFC and an HDMI port. The Droid Guy also learned that the new Samsung device will have a T.I. dual core OMAP processor. The said smartphone was not running the Ice Cream Sandwich when it was checked out, with the source claiming that the ICS build was not yet quite ready. The site said that it will run the OS on the launch date.

The Nexus Prime is said to be available in both CDMA and GSM flavors, with a Verizon version shipping first in October or early November. The rest of the carriers will get it at a later time.

What do you think of the Nexus Prime?
