Let’s face it; going to the bathroom can be pretty dull, can’t it? Unless you have got a TV, jukebox or PC in there or some other sort of entertainment you probably need to rely on the age old custom of taking a newspaper in with you.
Ah, that is about to change if you decide to install a fish tank aquarium. There are a few different models around but if you want to go green then the pictured Chinese one, which is made by Runto Sanitary Ware seems like a good choice. A similar model is made by California firm AquaOne and called the Fish ‘n Flush Toilet Tank Aquarium.
A Solution for Lonely Kids
The Chinese fish tank toilets in the picture were supposedly created to give one child families with small living spaces somewhere to keep pets for their lonely kids. However, the use of some clever, environmentally friendly touches means that it is a nice gadget for any home.
For a start, there are three different water tanks. One contains the fish and the plants, while the other two are for the incoming and outgoing water. While this system keeps the little fishies safe from being flushed out to the sea it also means that the toilet uses less water than many other types.
That’s not all though. They also contain LED lighting which will light up your bathroom without you needing to use additional lighting.
All in all, a fish tank toilet seems like a good idea, as long as you don’t think that the thought of lots of little fish watching you might put off what you went there to do in the first place.
