Could it be true that Samsung is going to be releasing the latest of its smart watches before too long?
The rumour mill suggests that the follow-up to the Samsung Gear 2 could be on its way a lot quicker than we would have expected.
Sources close to the Korean firm suggest that the new Samsung Gear 3 is being worked on and could be launched soon. It is suggested that the new watch will have a curved, rectangular face. There is also some talk of it being taller than the Gear 2 model, although not as much as the Gear Fit. The curved face looks like being a lot more rounded than on the Gear 2, with the curvature being described as “very pronounced”.
The Gear 3 is expected to have very better brightness levels than the earlier models and could have a radio, but not a built in camera.
To Be Unveiled Soon?
As with the other gadgets in the Gear range from Samsung, we expect that it will run on the company’s own Tizeo operating system. The Gear 3 smart watch could be shown to the world as soon as the upcoming IFA 2014 Samsung Unpacked event. At this show, it is expected that the Gear Solo and the Galaxy Note 4 will be the stars of the show, so it will be interesting to see if the new smart watch manages to steal some of their thunder.
Do you think that this could be the right smart watch for you, or are you waiting for some other improvements to appear?
