Lg have decided to let the cat out the bag a day early at MWC 2011. A pre event press release outlined their new LG Optimus 3D handset which will be available later this year, the Korean based tech giant is promising a ‘new dimension for the new world’.
The press release confirmed that the Optimus 3D will be “Equipped with a 1GHz OMAP4 dual-core processor and four times more video decoders than competing designs, the LG Optimus 3D doubles the graphics performance of its nearest competitor”. There are many phones at MWC that will feature dual core processors but none promise such an increase in decoders, LG is obviously sticking to their motto of doubling everything on their products.
The phone will come with dual cameras capable of recording in 3D which will then be rendered on the 4.3 inch WVGA 3D screen without the need for glasses. Connectivity options include HDMI and DLNA which will allow users to transfer their 3D media to other devices.
More details will be made available during the official unveiling at MWC this week, exciting times ahead we’ll think you’ll agree.
