Distinctive Developments Limited have just released the very first Rugby game app for the Apple iPhone, The Rugby Nations 09 game which is being promoted in conjunction with Will Carling and RuckU.com a social networking site specifically for the rugby world. The partnership will allow additional rugby Union world exposure for what is a very popular sport but until now has been under represented in the gaming industry. Will Carling said of the new Apple iPhone Rugby Nations 09 app ‘I’m passionate about Rugby and so are millions of other fans around the World so it’s great to be able to help bring this iPhone game to those fans.’

The Rugby Nations 09 game will provide a fantastic Rugby Union game experience for all iPhone and iPod Touch users, bringing all the excitement of your national team whether it is England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland direct to your iPhone screen. As you might expect from any iPhone app, the gameplay is simple and intuitive using a mixture of the touch screen functions that you have grown accustomed to with the tilt accelerometer function that the iPhone is famous for. With a bit of practice Rugby Nations 09 players will be able to enjoy all the thrills of the Ruby Union game, and will tackle, pass, score a try and get more drop goals than Jonny Wilkinson on a good day!

Distinctive Developments are experienced in providing exciting sporting titles for mobile phones, previous titles include Frankie Dettori Horseracing, Freddie Flintoff Blast ‘em Cricket and Grand National although these titles are not currently available for the Apple iPhone. The Rugby Nations 09 game is available to download now from the Apple App store for £2.99, which is a very small cost for a game featuring one of the world’s greatest sports for the world’s greatest mobile phone.
