Apple has done something that it has never done before, they have actually announced three new products before an event. That’s right, we now know that OSx Lion, iOS 5 and the brand new iCloud service will be unveiled during next week’s keynote at WWDC 2011.

A press release has been sent out detailing the event which is more like a tarted up sales letter for WWDC. Another exciting snippet is that Steve Jobs will be leading the keynote, so based on all previous correspondence there won’t be any surprises next week because Apple clearly explained it would be all about software this time around. If you believe that, you will believe anything.

There will be surprises

Apple never plays all its cards before a big event, there will be surprises next week in the form of new hardware. If you had to make an educated guess the iPhone 5 would have to be the surprise feature of WWDC 2011, surely big Steve won’t simply be showcasing software which they have already announced today? On the other hand, Apple may simply be bored with all the hype and has simply decided to play it straight from now on, remember the whole Beatles fiasco?

New hardware or not, next week will be a mouthwatering prospect for Apple Fan Boi’s. All new operating systems will surely bring some nifty new features.

Will Apple surprise at WWDC? We will have to wait and see.
