Angry Birds Set for Blackberry Playbook Debut

Blackberry World in Orlando, Florida is in full flow and new updates and announcements have been occurring all day. One such announcement involves the insanely popular Angry Birds franchise which is set to spread it’s wings and land which much applause on the Blackberry Playbook tablet.

RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis has confirmed that the bird firing app will be available in the summer along with a range of other popular titles. Rovio will surely be excited by the partnership which will further strengthen their cross platform stranglehold on the mobile gaming sector.

News has also broke that Angry Birds Rio is now available online via Facebook and will also be coming to a console near you very soon. The main question that many analysts have relates to the longevity of the franchise, Rovio plan to float their company on the stock Market within the next five years and at the moment this is all based on the success of Angry Birds.
