Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 leaks spotted

When Call of Duty: Black Ops was first released, it took the gaming world by storm, shattering all kinds of sales records (to be broken by last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3). So it will not be surprising to see Activision to develop another Black Ops game for future release. Now, rumors point to a 2012 launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Gameblog.fr, a French gaming website that revealed that the second Black Ops game is under development, said that Activision has retaliated by pulling out all advertising and cancelling all of the website’s access to its games in retaliation. Last February 16, the website reported that Amazon France was taking pre-orders for the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which was then renamed to a more generic name, “Call of Duty 9.” It took a screen capture of the webpage and posted it.

It was then when the issue heated up when the website declined to pull out the story as demanded by Activision.

In other Black Ops 2-related news, Hugo Beyer, an artist working for Nerve Software, has posted in his LinkedIn page that he is working on the Black Ops 2 project. Beyer has worked on major game titles such as Anno 1404, Beatles Rock Band and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Beyer’s LinkedIn page has also been taken down. No comments have been received from Activision of Nerve Software.

Are we going to see a continuation to the Black Ops series?
