Those of you waiting for the HTC Sensation may be pleased to know that Vodafone has opened pre-orders today in preparation for their exclusive 19th May UK release date. The new phone from HTC is powered by the latest Android Gingerbread OS and sports an impressive 4.3 capacitive touch screen.
They have also upped the processing power by installing a 1.2GHz dual core processor which should make it pretty darn quick, also included is the now industry standard dual cameras which allows video calls from the front and full HD video from the rear facing cameras.
The HTC sensation will come with 1GB of internal memory and an 8 GB SD card, HTC says that it will deliver 8 hours and 20 minutes of talk time with 400 hours of standby time whilst 3G is switched on. That said browsing using 3G will produce 6 hours of continuous use which is about on par with other smartphones of the same calibre.
Vodafone will give away the phone for free on a £35 a month contract, for this the user receives 900 cross network minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data on a 24 month deal. This is an exclusive offer that can only be claimed through the Vodafone website.
It’s unclear on how long Vodafone will have exclusive rights for the HTC Sensation but the general consensus is other networks will release the smartphone one month after Vodafone, so sometime in June.
