We’ve regularly been caught bemoaning the poor range of overly priced Blu Ray players and recorders for some time now. While the situation is still far from being perfect, Blu Ray equipped PCs are more commonplace and represent one of the very few viable alternatives to owning a PS3 or paying out an absolutely fortune for something with fairly limited use.
The Medion Akoya P36888 is manufactured and Germany and costing around £600 (according to Gizmodo you can get it at this price in Tesco) it carries a lot of power for the price bracket and it includes a Blu Ray player and rewriter.
The Intel Core 2 Quad Processor is that popular in high end machines at the moment you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s been fashioned from the latest retrofitted Borg technology. A 1TB hard drive, 3GB of RAM, and a whole raft of other features make it an extremely desirable computer indeed.
Happily, you can get the Medion Akoya P36888 from the Tesco website as well as from all good Tesco stores across the country (probably not Tesco Express though). In terms of design it’s nothing particularly special and it almost looks German, although that means that it probably won’t break down even if you flog it for 10-15 years.
